In 1993 born in the United States a new concep of sports, called ULTIMATE FIGTING CHAMPIONSHIP (UFC), this kind of sport was well know in brazil as Vale Tudo (it´s worth everything), the idea of the sport is to choose the best competitors of diverse Martial Arts like Jujitsu, KickBoxing, Grappling, Boxing, Karate, Olympic Fighter, Sumo, and other many arts and put them under the same ceiling to compete against them and at the end of the night to crown one of these athletes like the Ultimate Fighter of the World or (the BEST FIGHTER OF THE PLANET).
The scene of this event take place inside of a cage, where competitors of differents styles show us who’s the best one; unlike the Boxing the fight can finish of different ways. for example knock out, Submission (to make the opponent surrender with a key), a referee or arbitrator can stop the fight or the corner can throw the towel if his figther is in risk to be hurt or he does not respond and If at the end of the fight does not exist a winner by some of these ways, 3 expert judges of the sport will determine the winner.
This type of events have been atracting competing of many countries of the world. For example Japan, Korea, Russia, Germany, the Croatia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, the USA and many more.
As a result of the acceptation of this sport, Japan adopted the idea at the end of ninety and stared his own organization called PRIDE and be come one of the one of the most popular events of the Planet, filling sands 60.000 spectators and breaking record of hearing at world-wide level.
The only disadvantage that this sport had, was becouse it’s an extreme sport; So that, only the athletic association of Nevada (LAS VEGAS) and the Indians reservation allowed the sport, but in 1998 a group of friends in California began a new organization called (KING OF THE CAGE) and the same group of friends began a new chain of the same organization (KOTC King Of The Cage) and these new organization is between the most prestigious of world-wide level.
To these organizations have been adding many others more and these other organizations have been born as result of the popularity of the sport.
At the beginning of the 2006 the Governor of Californian Mr ARNOLD SCHWARNEGGER, passed a decree legalizing this sport and granting licenses to promoters with the same right of the boxing. And as result of this decree in the state of California has been granted more of 50 licenses to promoters and there are more or less 100 annual events only in this state, almost 2 events for week.
